Dear Sir,

We have a Laptop customer want to using TAS5766 for speaker and ESS9018(DAC)+OPA1622 for HI-FI Headphone solution.

TAS5766 only support 44.1K or 48KHZ sampling rate, ESS9018 support 96K~192KHz.

Front end codec only one I2S o/p for both TAS5766 and ESS9018, it' a big problem due to different sampling rate.

Do you have idea how to solve it?

I know add a ASRC in front of TAS5766 can solve it but const is high, do you have others comments?

Hi, Ian,

Unfortunately the TAS5766M does not have an Audio processor capable of operate at 96 KHz sample rate. I have asked my colleague to take a look at your question and see if he has other comments.

Hi Ian,

Your understanding is correct. TAS5766M/68M can only support 44.1k and 48kHz. One existing device that can support 96k and even 192kHz is TAS5754M/56M.
Other new devices that support 96k are TAS5780M and TAS5782M, but they are not yet released.
