TAS5538 How to Use Two Parts

Hi,

Could you please tell me your recommended method if we should be careful about a clock delivery method of the synchronized MCLK, SCLK and LRCLK when using two TAS5538s ?

Thanks for your post.

The MCLK, SCLK, and LRCLK signals can be driven in parallel with no additional buffers as long as standard signal integrity techniques are used. This means that Case 1 can be used. These inputs do not require a lot to drive so driving two devices instead of one will not be very different.

Will the same data be shared to both Device 1 and Device 2?

Thank you for your reply.

No, actually those data aren't same since the host controller performs the audio processing for each channel data.
So, have you had a experience that the noise occurred if supplying the MCLK, SCLK and LRCLK signals to two TAS5538s or TAS5558s such as above Case1 ?

Case 1 is the normal configuration that the devices are used in when daisy chaining. There should be no noise problem as long as the layout is done correctly to maintain the signal integrity.
