TAS5548 DAP Latency

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPA5050, TAS5538, TAS5548

Hi,

Could you please give me the DAP latency except ASCR latency ?
Is my understanding correct that I believe that it is 20/FSout ~ 25/FSout ?

Best regards,
Kato

  • Hi,

Could you please give me your advice since I haven't got your information ?

    Best regards,
    Kato

  • Sadanori-San,

It is very hard to specify this latency because it depends highly on the filters, settings, and processing selected. It also depends on the sampling rate of the input. Where did you read the 20-25/FS value?

Why does the customer need this info?

    Regards,

    -Adam

  • Hi Adam-san,

    Thank you for your reply.

It is necessary to understand the propagation delay and adjust the phase using the rip-sync delay IC such as TPA5050 if using each different part as the pwm modulator for main audio board and sub-board(e.g. subwoofer)
I have heard this information as TAS5538 from your local FAE, unfortunately he no longer works at TI.
So, I understand that TAS5548 is same with TAS5538 except the ASRC function and the latency also depends on the audio processing configuration.

    Best regards,
    Kato

    - DRC bypass/inline             : Bypass
    - Loudness                      : Disabled(default values)
