TAS5731M: Question of the IDDQ of TAS5731M in Power Down Mode

Part Number: TAS5731M

Hi Sirs,

Would you pls advise the IDDQ data with PDN# in low? We found the TAS5731M's PVDD consumes 5~6mA with PDN# in low (0x05 = 0x40), PVDD (leakage)=3.6V, AVDD=0V. is it in-line with our IC design? If yes, do we have workaround to reduce the IDDQ in shutdown mode?

Thank you and Best regards,

  • Hi, Wayne,

I assume that /RESET is ‘0’ as AVDD/DVDD is 0V. is this assumption correct?. If so, the amplifier is in the lower power consumption mode with /RESET and /PDN set to low state. The current consumption for PVDD in this operating mode should be a lot lower than the described. Even if /RESET is high, the consumption in PVDD should be lower.

Could you please send me the schematics so I can take a look?. Also, why PVDD have a value of 3.6V?.

    Best Regards,
