Hi there,
Do TAS5421-Q1/TAS5411-Q1 support the I2C clock stretching?
Thank you for your support.
Regards,
Ken
Additional note for the engineer who would consider similar set-up.
The specification "Capacitance for SDA pin" has been added onto new datasheet.
(SLOS814D –MARCH 2014–REVISED SEPTEMBER 2016)
This means extra capacitance is added on I2C bus during TAS5421-Q1 is in STANDBY mode.
Ken,
The TAS5411-Q1 and TAS5421-Q1 support clock stretching.
After receiving some questions related to (but not directly on) this topic, we wanted to clarify this post. The TAS5421 itself does not perform clock stretching. However, if any other device on the I2C bus performs clock stretching, the TAS5421 should not mind since it only uses the SCL clock edges to get data into the I2C register space.
