SRC4392: how to set SRC output rate

I am feeding the SRC from Port A, which is configured as an input. I want to convert to a different sample rate. How do you set the output rate for the SRC? I want to feed the DIT with the SRC output, but I want the output rate to be determined by an external clocking source. How do I do this? What external clocks do I need to drive the DIT and the SRC output?

  • Hi Brian,

    you need to configure the register to select the SRC Input Source and SRC Clock Source to select the output rate. Register 0x2D is the address to configure the same.

    The SRC requires a reference clock, which may be sourced from either the MCLK (pin 25) or RXCKI (pin 13) clock inputs, or from the RXCKO recovered master clock output from the DIR block. The reference clock is utilized by the rate estimator to determine the input-to-output sampling ratio. By default, MCLK is selected as the reference clock source for the SRC.
