TPA6132A2: output pull down, test way

Part Number: TPA6132A2

Hi~ Customer using TPA6132A2 for headphone output, and they use 10k ohm pull down resistor at each OUTL, OUTR to detect ear jack. I need advice if 10k pull down is no problem on OUTL/R.

I also need some advice what kinds of general test needed for headphone output of TPA6132? (Ex, THD : within 3%, etc...)

Is there any PC software to test sound quality by connect audio line between TPA6132 OUTL/R -> to PC Line In?

Thanks.

  • Hi Jin-Suk,

The 10k pull down should not be a problem. It may lower a little the output voltage but not too much as this is a really high impedance compared to the speakers.
You could test the frequency response, THD+N to stay below 10% or preferably below 1%, output power.
I don't currently know of a software that can do such a thing. An AP system is usually used for audio tests.
