Part selection for noise cancellation micro phone

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV320AIC3104

Hello team ,

My customer is looking for a solution from TI for a voice control system .

This system is expected to understand a set of commands given in by the user and take decision accordingly .

We are looking for noise cancellation  application to increase the signal to noise ratio substantially

As you may know the accuracy of the speech recognition is as good as the signal to noise ratio is ,

So can you please help us suggest some architecture/device for converting the analog audio sounds into digital data to be sent to the DSP with noise cancellation ,

Please do share about any app note , documentation regarding this if available

Please take this up on priority

Thank you

  • Hi, Shreenidhi,

In order to get a high SNR and reduce noise environment, we recommend to use an external DSP. Our audio codecs don't have enough capabilities to handle noise reduction/cancellation algorithms, so a DSP is necessary to make this. We have a reference design that can be used as a guide to implement noise/echo reduction with a TLV320AIC3104 and an external DSP (TMS320). Please take a look at it and let me know if you have questions or comments.
