TAS5766MRMTEVM: How to make tuning settings stay on the board

Part Number: TAS5766MRMTEVM

Hi there,

I set up smart Amp evaluation TAS5766MRMTEVM board connected to Pure path Mother board PUREPATH-CMBEVM and to my computer via USB connection. From the PPC-3 GUI, i could set the EQ to optimize my loud speaker performance. If I play a test signal from PPC-3 GUI application, I have a flat frequency response out of my loud speakers. If I play the test signal from other applications on my computer, the loudspeakers produce the sound, but the EQ compensation is not included, therefore the frequency response is not flat.

I would like to know how I can load the EQ settings onto the board? Does the PUREPATH-CMBEVM and TAS5766MRMTEVM combination allow me to do that?

If any additional board is needed, would you please let me know which one?

Does TI have a board where I can load the EQ settings onto and the tuning will stay on board, meaning the board can be boot by itself with the tuning on?

I saw a mention of self boot capability on the schematic of mother board but no other reference or documentation about this feature. Would you please comment on this feature.

Thanks,

Lan Nguyen

  • Hi Lan,

Although the hardware required for the self boot function has been included on the PPCMB (Rev. F), the corresponding firmware has not been released.

For now, the only way to keep the settings is use the "End System Integration" tile in PPC3 and select "Dump Current State into a Header File".

Besides, you may consider using the snapshot function in PPC3 as a record of the tuning you'd like to save.
