Hello technical support, these questions relate to use of the TLV320AIC3100 in a new design:
1. We are looking at the other supplies for the codec. Can you provide current draw for the AVDD, HPVDD and IOVD pins?
2. The datasheet suggests power up sequencing - "The TLV320AIC3100 has been designed to be extremely tolerant of power supply sequencing. However, in some rare cases, unexpected conditions and behaviors can be attributed to power supply sequencing"
a. Power up SPKVDD
b. Power up IOVDD
c. Power up DVDD shortly after IOVDD
d. Power up AVDD and HPVDD
To implement this sequencing we will have to add some extra circuitry. Our current hardware (which does not implement this) has not shown any problems. What’s your recommendation?
