TAS5731M: TAS5731M about 31-VREG pin is shorted to ground issue

Part Number: TAS5731M

Hi Team,

The customer is using TAS5731M .He uses 2.1 Support (2 × SE + 1 × BTL). The speakers are 2×4ohm/15W+4ohm/30W.  PVDD is 16V.

AVDD and DVDD are both 3.3V. After he turns the volume up, the 31-VREG pin is shorted to ground. The attach are his schematic and PCB files.

For the customer's issue, can you provide some suggestions? Are the schematic and the pcb correct?

Best Wishes,

  • Hi Team,

Can anyone provide some suggestions? The customer is waiting for my reply.
  • Hello Mickey!
Shawn Zheng can help you with this question. Thanks!
  • Hi Mickey,
I reviewed the SCH but didn't find obvious issue. Could you please also send me your register congifuration file? According to your description, when volumn is low, there is no problem and the voltag on VREG pin is 3.3V, right? How much volumn causes this issue? In this case, the voltage on VREG pin is 0V, right? When this issue occurs, how about the output signal? Could you show me the scope screen capture please? When this issue occurs, PVDD is still 16V? The voltage on FAULT pin is high or low?
