Hi !
I have the TPA2026D2 chip in an application which, in total, draws 7.81mA@3V. In this state no audio is input to the TPA2026D2. If I pull the SDZ pin low, i.e. putting the chip in "shut down" mode, the total current consumption drops to 1.44mA@3V. From this I conclude that the TPA2026D2 draws 6.37mA@3V. The maximum current consumption, according to the datasheet, is 4.7mA@3.6V. I'm thinking that the BGA soldering might be poor, thus causing leakage current. But if that is not the case; can this increase in current be explained in any other way ? The internal registers ar set as follows:
0x01: 0xc2 //Disable noise gate
0x02: 0x01 //Set AGC attack time to 0.1067ms
0x03 : 0x01 //Set AGC release time to 13.7ms
0x04 : 0x00 //Disable AGC hold time
0x05 : 0x11 //Set fixed AGC gain to +17dB
0x06 : 0x00 //Set output limiter to -6.5dBV, Set noise gate threshold to 1mV RMS
0x07 : 0x00 //Set max gain to 18dB, Set compression ratio to 1:1
