Hi,

I got TAS6424Q1EVM board and downloaded PPC but I don't have user guide for board, Please share me.

How much MCLK I need to give externally either 12Mhz or 24Mhz ?

Our I2S Controller is not generating MCLK out, can I give from external crystal?

Hi Vamsikirshna,

MCLK follows the I2S protocol. Please see page 10 under serial audio port section in the TAS6424Q1 data sheet. You'll need a crystal and a buffer/driver to drive the MCLK input.

Hi Tuan,

Thank you for your help.
I am working first time on audio boards, need help on how exactly I can use the board, I don't have any documents related to board have only TAS6424Q1 Data sheet.
PurePath Console is used for only configuring I2C registers right?,
can we send audio data through USB?
Present in our I2S design MCLK is not coming out, so i am going to connect external CMOS 12MHZ crystal It will work or not?

Hi Vasikrishna,

You can stream audio via USB to the EVM. Be sure to: (1) use USB audio as your sound source, (2) go to monitor and control page and click on play for channels 1 and 2 (Left and Right). These two actions should get you running. There are 4 channels so you should use channel control rather than global control on play mode.

Hi Tuan,

When I am connecting our I2S controller SCK and FSYNC clock to EVM board I am getting Clock fault.

SCK = 3.128MHz

FSYNC = 48.8KHZ we are using.

Please Provide me solution.
