Hi Sirs,

We found the TAS5731 AVDD/DVDD's measurement results on customer's system board are differnet to the datasheet's specification. Would you pls review if the measurement in line with the TAS5731M's device design?

Hi Wayne,

I measured 7.68mA on PVDD with reset low and PDN high with PVDD=18V.

7mA under the same conditions but with PVDD = 15V.

I also measured 24.51 mA on AVDD with reset low and PDN high. There is some error in this measurement because I had to account for the other sources of AVDD power draw on the board besides the chip, but I did not see currents over 25mA being drawn by the chip by itself.

Hello Alex,

Addition to my previous question, can we reduce PVDD, AVDD and DVDD's IDDQ with BD modulation? If yes, how much power we can save for each power rails?

Hi again Wayne,

Here's a quick update, in reset mode the device switching is disabled so I would not expect an improvement in IDDQ by switching to BD mode. However, IPVDD (normal mode with device active) may improve efficiency in BD mode vs. AD mode. Are you trying to decrease current only in reset mode?
