LM49352: Do we have any software or hardware tools to help the design of this CODEC?

Hi Team,

You know a CODEC is always difficult to be programmed. Large number of registers need to be configured, many pages of datasheet needs to be read... My customer is using this device in their product. They want to know can we provide some software or hardware tools to easy their development? Such as a EVM, or even a GUI software to help them generates a register configure file?

Hi, John,

Unfortunately, we don't have any tool for hardware and software development. All the available documents for this device are located in the product folder:

www.ti.com/.../technicaldocuments

However, we are able to review customer's schematic, layout and registers configuration. Also, we can guide customer in case he has specific questions or comments about this device.

Finally, we recommend to take a look at the alternative devices such the TLV320AIC3107 and TLV320AIC3212. These devices have more documentation and evaluation boards in case customer is interested.

Hi,

Thank you for reply. My customer has designed with this device.
When I read the datasheet I found that there is not any detailed explanation about the functionality of register 0xB8h to 0xBCh. Could you please give me some explain about how to use these registers?

Hi, John,

These registers are reserved registers used for DAC effects. They cannot be modified by the user since these registers are required to monitor the DAC effects. Any modification may generate a wrong behavior in the device.
