AIC3204 - Different rates on ADC and DAC

Hi,

in CODEC AIC3204, may I configure ADC sampling rate at 96 Khz and playback rate at 192 Khz?

Hi, Paolo,

Unfortunately, this is not possible in these audio codecs. The sampling rate must be the same for both ADC and DAC. Otherwise, you could get wrong results in the codec. This is because the WCLK frequency should be the same as the sampling rate. Since the WCLK frequency is fixed, the ADC and DAC sampling rates must be fixed as well.
