TLV320AIC3204: has noise

customer complained that AIC3204 has noise when click pause.

when play music, click pause, then there is voltage on LOL/LOR pin , sustain for a while, then we can hear the noise.

How can we solve this probelm?

    the highest waveform is music, then we click pause, then LOL/LOR will still have a 500mv voltage, sustain for a while, then change to 0V.

    Yes, I read it, but I don't think the noise is caused by layout or external component , I used to solve this kind of probelm, need add a delay time or something.
    I think the keypoint is when we click pause or stop, the timing should be right.
    I will upload schematic and register value tomorrow. thanks a lot for your help.

    this is the schematic. I2S input, differential Line out, the use LOL and LOR.

    We found a DC voltage on output pin. and this voltage caused POP noise on amplifier.

    this the reg setting.

    when play music, there is pop sound, because the voltage on the LOL change to  DC voltage from 0V.

    when stop play music, there is pop sound, because the voltage on the LOL change to oV from the DC voltage.

    I tested it with customer. so what's your suggestion? The capacitor on LOL/LOR is 0.1uF.

    Could we cancel the DC voltage on LOL/LOR pin through the software setting? the amplifier is always on and we can't control it. the only way is to control the codec.

    Hi,

    The LOL and LOR pins DC voltage cannot be cancelled. This is the common-mode voltage and it is present in all the analog I/O. However, the pop effect can be reduced. In order to make this, I would recommend to add an RC low-pas filter (100ohms, 47nF) after the AC-coupling capacitor. Additionally, we recommend to connect a capacitor to ground between the LOL/LOR pin and the AC-coupling capacitor.

    I realized many codecs has such sisi noise from HP out or Line out, like AIC3101 and AIC3204, several customers complained about that,. it can't be reduced even we changed the RC low-pass filter. any chance that the noise is related to clock?
