Hi team,

The customer would like to select an audio amplifier. The requirements are as below:

1 channel analog input. 2 channels output.

One output channel is connected to the speaker. Another output channel is connected to the FM transmitter module.

At one moment, there is only one output channel to be enabled. 

That is the audio signal is output by the speaker or the  FM transmitter module

The speaker is 1W/8ohm or 2W/4ohm

Would you recommend a suitable audio amplifier?

    Hi Mickey,

    I have a couple of questions for you, What kind of input does FM transmitter module have digital or analog? and, Could you provide us more details about your application like schematic or block diagram?
    I need more information in order to recommend you the best choice.

    Hi Jose,

    The FM transmitter module has the analog input. The block diagram is in the attach.

    Hi Michey,

    You could have a look at the TPA2012D2 is a Stereo Class-D Audio Amplifier or at the TPA6017A2 is a Stereo Class AB Audio Amplifier. Both devices comply the required conditions.

    Thanks for your help. But the customer has the requirement that there is only one output channel to be enabled at one moment.

    TPA2012D2 and TPA6017A2 do not have this function ,right?

    How to achieve this function that there is only one output channel to be enabled at one moment? Use a 1:2 switch to connect the

    input channels of the audio amplifier ? Or use a 2:1 switch to connect the output channels of the audio amplifier ? If this can be achieve the function,

    please recommend a suitable switch.

    Hi Mickey,

    TPA2012D2 has independent shutdown controls for each channel. You can use this feature to enable each channel in different moments.
