TLV320AIC34: PGA Performance

Hi team,

We are looking at the TLC320AIC34 and have questions about the PGA performance. We are looking at figure 6 on page 15 of the datasheet and we see that for a 30dB gain, we have 40dB SNR with an input signal of -65dB. Does this mean that we have a -65dB+30dB = -35dB with a noise floor of -35dB-40dB=-75dB?

Do we have a noise floor vs. gain spec?

Also, is this figure A-weighted?

Hi, Akash,

You are right. As you mentioned, the signal will have +30dB gain. This means that it will result in a -35dB signal after the PGA gain. Then, the SNR level will be fixed at -40dB under these conditions, so the noise floor will be fixed at -75dB.

All the figures were measured with a 20KHz low-pass filter and an A-weighted filter.
