Hi,

We received some questions about thermal protection of TPA6211A1-Q1 from a customer.

Q1. Is the output completely shutdowned, when thermal protection has operated?
Q2. Does the output signal stop suddenly or act like soft mute when thermal protection has operated?
Q3. When thermal protection has stopped, does the device output signal suddenly or gradually?
Q4. How much is the variation of threshold temperature of thermal protection? Does it have hysteresis?

    Q1. Yes, it is. The thermal protection turns the device off completely.
    Q2. The output signal is stopped suddenly.
    Q3. Once it cools off a little bit, the device will work again.
    Q4. No really, the thermal protection turns the device off when the junction temperature surpasses 150°c and when it cools off under this temperature, the device will begin to work again.
