TPA3106D1: Would excess power current have any drawback?

If we provide 5A power supply, but the 3106 only uses 3A, is it inefficient to have that 2A buffer? Or is it more efficient to have 2A buffer? Pros and cons? Heat, battery drain, audio peaks, etc.

    Hi Johny,
    2A margin is good enough for power supply design. And it won't take an effect on the TPA3106D2 efficiency or performance. I think you want to know the effect on the power supply, right? Please post your question in power forum in E2E, and our expert will give some professional suggestion.
