TLV320AIC3263: RECVDD_33 pin can be left unconnected/open ?

Part Number: TLV320AIC3263

Hello,

We are Designing our custom board based on TLV320AIC3263

I have the following doubts

1. Can RECVDD_33 pin be left open ? We are not using that functionality

2. What is BATT_VDD ? Should MICBIAS_VDD be connected to 1.8v ?

3. Where should the VBAT pin no D8 be connected to ?

Regards

Shashank

  • oops missed the screen shot

  • Hello, Shashank,

    - 1. Can RECVDD_33 pin be left open ? We are not using that functionality.
A1. The RECVDD_33 pin must be powered by at least 1.65V as mentioned in the datasheet. Even if this functionality is not used the recommended operating conditions limits of datasheet must be respected in order to guarantee a correct behavior.

    - 2. What is BATT_VDD ? Should MICBIAS_VDD be connected to 1.8v ?
A2. BATT_VDD or VBAT is an analog input used for battery measurement. The audio codec contains some registers that store the measurement data. In that way, the user may verify if the battery must be replaced or not. MICBIAS_VDD is the power pin that enables the MICBIAS voltage. It must be connected to a power supply in the range of 2.7V to 5.5V.

    - 3. Where should the VBAT pin no D8 be connected to ?
A3. If your system require of a battery for portable applications, this pin should be connected to that battery. If battery measurement is not required, this pin can be left floated.
