SRC4392EVM-PDK: SRC4392 Interface SPI

Part Number: SRC4392EVM-PDK
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SRC4392,

Hello

I,m proving the interface SPI of the SRC4392EVM-PDK through the header J22. The signals are provided by a DSP but the SRC4392 doesn´t work.

It receive the signals but there is no changes in the configuration. The configuracion of the SRC4392EVM is correct to receive that kind of signals. Could you help me?

I attach an image with an example of the signals sended to the SRC4392. (CS->blue CCLK->green CDIN->yellow)

Regards

  • Hi, Alberto,

In order to use the SPI interface mode of the SRC4392 in the EVM, you need to setup the SPI lines with jumpers JMP3, JMP4 and JMP5 first, then the SRC should be configured to receive SPI data by setting CPM pin of SW1 to LOW. SPI data from the external source connected to J22 as in your case will only work if /USBSPI pin of SW5 is set to HI. Can you please double check if the mentioned switches and jumpers are configured correctly?. If so, then I would recommend to try using the USB SPI port just to identify if the device is communicating.

I have also asked my colleague to take a look at this issue in case he has other suggestions.

  • Hi Diego

I've checked the configuration of the SRC4392EVM and is all, switches and jumpers, correct. Also I've tested if the signals arrive correctly to the corresponding pins (19, 20 and 21) of the SRC4392 and so it is. Configuring the SRC4392 with the software AIM3254EVM through the I2C interface the SRC4392 works correctly, however I can't configure the SRC4392 with the USB SPI port through the SPI interface.

When I send commands, sometimes there are interruptions for others devices that extend the clock pulse, and there is no clock when the CS signal is high. Could this affect? Nevertheless I also send  commands without any interruption with the same result.

    Regards,

    Alberto de la Peña
