TAS5753MD: Asking for the TAS5753 schematic component value

Part Number: TAS5753MD

Hi Team,

Customer uses the TAS5753 on the monitor application. Currently there are no obviously abnormal found on this project.
Do you have any concern if customer use the following values?

1.HPVDD/AVDD Pin14/19,dstahset suggest 4.7uf+0.1uf. customer uses 10uf+1uf
2.OSC-RES pin 22 recommended 18K to GND,customer uses 18.2K
3.DVDD_REG pin24 datasheet suggest to use. 4.7uf+0.1uf ,customer uses4.7uf,
4. BST&Out pin ,suggest to use 0.01uf ,customer uses 0.033uf

What is the side effect if using the customer select values?

Thanks,
SHH

  • Hello SHH! Shawn can help you further on this question. Also, what PVDD are you using and type of load are you trying to drive? Thanks, Jeff
  • Hi SHH,
    Please find my answers below.
1.HPVDD/AVDD Pin14/19,dstahset suggest 4.7uf+0.1uf. customer uses 10uf+1uf - I think 10uF and 1uF are too close values, and it probably causes high impedence peak by parallel resonance.
2.OSC-RES pin 22 recommended 18K to GND,customer uses 18.2K - It should be 18K resistor with 1% tolerance since the internal circuits of the device are trimmed in production for this fixed value. The use of a different resistor probably affect the device's operation and performance.
3.DVDD_REG pin24 datasheet suggest to use. 4.7uf+0.1uf ,customer uses4.7uf - 0.1u capacitor is used to decouple the mid-frequency noise on the power supply. The performance maybe degrade if there is high mid-frequency band noise in power supply.
    4. BST&Out pin ,suggest to use 0.01uf ,customer uses 0.033uf - 0.01uF is recommended for the bootstrap capacitors. The switching frequency is 352/384kHz, so 0.01uF is large enough for it. While for 0.033uF bootstrap capacitors, it's a little larger. There is a risk that the voltage on the large bootstrap capacitors is not high enough because it takes longer time to charge.
    Bes regards,
    Shawn Zheng
