MONO Audio DAC requirement

Hi TI,

There is an Audio requirement for one of my project where i get digital audio data through I2S interfacing from host processor and i need to convert it onto mono analog audio output.The load requirement is 9Vp-p with 600ohm line impedance.

Can anyone suggest me any Audio DAC chips that can match the above requirement.

    Hi Anand,

    As your requirement is 9Vp-p you will need around 3Vrms.
    You can select one of our DACs and then use a line driver at its output in order to obtain the required output voltage.
    TLV320DAC3120 is a mono DAC with mono outputs.
    TLV320DAC310x are stereo DAC with different output features.
    TLV320DAC3203 is a stereo DAC with stereo outputs.

    You can connect the headphone/line output of these DACs into a line driver input, like DRV603 so you can have 3Vrms into 600Ohm load.

    I would like to know any mono line audio driver with single-ended or differential o/p l.which can drive 3Vrms into 600ohm load.

    Hi Anand,

    DRV602 and DRV603 are differential input, single-ended output line drivers, these two devices can drive 3Vrms. These are very similar devices, DRV603 have UVP feature.
    DRV134 and DRV135 are single-ended input, differential output line drivers, these devices can also drive 3Vrms. These devices does not feature charge pump so these will need double supply rail.

    There are more line drivers available but most of them operate at lower supply voltages so they are not able to drive 3Vrms.
