LM1875: Getting lot of noise distortions when connected with 12VDC 1A supply

Hi,

I am using LM1875 20W Audio Power Amplifier IC and made a circuit as given in the datasheet for Typical Applications For Single Supply Operation, I am giving the supply of 12VDC 1A and connected speaker load of 5W 8 ohms(Speaker part no: CSS-40408N) but I am getting lot of noise distortions, can anyone kindly let me know how I can resolve this issue, as I am new to this audio amplifier.

Hello Raju! Have you looked at our newer TPA3128D2 or TPA3118 www.ti.com/.../TPA3128D2 ? This is a new, much better performing amplifier that we recommend for such applications. It is monolithic and designed to optimize your external circuit. also, perhaps you should also look at our low-power portfolio for the 5W range. Also, please make sure that your power supply is providing a nice clean power source. Thanks, Jeff
