The TPA5050 defines its delay by samples, and so it depends on your sample rate x your number of samples to get your delay. If you want a 50 ms delay with a 48 kHz samples rate, then you need .050 s / (1/48 kHz) = 2400 samples delayed. You will then need to write the Hex value of 0x960 to both the Left and Right delay registers.

For example, the Right delay registers are 0x02 (upper bits) and 0x03 (lower bits). To write 0x960 it would look like the following:

reg 0x02 : 0x09
reg 0x03 : 0x60

You would do the same for register 0x04 and 0x05 for the left channel delay.

Hi SHH,

I believe the Audio Precisions have a sample delay measurement. If you do not have an AP then you can send a 0x0000 audio data value and then a 0xFFFF value, and tirgger on the data input to the TPA5050, then see how long it take for the output to go from 0x000 to 0xFFFF.
