TPA3132D2: PVCC inputs

Part Number: TPA3132D2

On the TPA3132D2- are the PVCC inputs on one side (pins 13, 14) of the chip internally tied to the ones on the other side (pins 27, 28); or are they separate?  The reason we’re asking is that we’re trying to use the part in PBTL configuration, and currently we have two sets of ferrite beads and decoupling caps feeding the part; effectively separating the sides.

  • The PVCC inputs on pins 13&14 of the chip are internally tied to the ones on the other side (pins 27&28). But you still need to use two sets of ferrite beads and decoupling caps for the both sides of PVCC. Because the PVCC power supply from pin 13&14 are very close to the L channel MOSFET and the PVCC from pin 27&28 are very close to R channel MOSFET. Even in PBTL mode, the two channel MOSFET are working and powered by the two sides of PVCC. If the R channel is powered by PVCC pin 13&14, the distance between them is long and the quality of power supply applied on the MOSFET degrades because of the parasitic parameter on the circuit.
