TLV320AIC1110: Sine wave 3.4kHz

Part Number: TLV320AIC1110

Hi all.

I wanted to test the codec TLV320AIC1110 before using it in own design. And got such problem.

- Registers are: 9B 03 40 A0 00 00 00 (MIC1 select, EAR1 select, Linear mode, filters - off)

- On MIC1 inputs sine wave 75..3400 HZ  (about 20mV)

- Digatal data is loops PCM_OUT to PCM_IN

- On  EAR1_ON-EAR1_OUT - earphone and oscilloscope

- PCM_CLK and MCLK are connected to one wire 2048MHz, PCM_SYN - every 256 CLKS, 8kHz

So, i see distrotion of sine wave on outpurs (see pic.). It is not ideal sine.

Interval of such "steps" is about 20uS.

If sine freq=1000Hz then distortion (steps) are not so noticeable, but I see them

_____

Then I increase clocks (PCM_CLK and MCLK) up to 8MHz,  "steps" became shorter (on 2MHz - 20us, on 8MHz - 5us).

___

Anybody can generate sine wave 3 kHz and watch it?
