My customer received an EVM for the TLV320DAC3100

He has some speakers that he would like to test but cannot find the slac366.exe file that they call out in the manual.

There was no CD with the kit either.

Where can he download the file from? I searched ESP and the web and could not find it.

My FAE found the SW too... but it does not seem to recognize the EVM. The user guide implies that the EVM and SW are plug and play... but this does not happen for me. Did it work for you? Was there any undocumented steps or drivers required?

Hello Alex,

The link you sent does not contain files for the TLV320DAC3100 instead it contains TLV320DAC3101.

Does this matter?
is there an explicit file for the 3100?

It has been a while since I supported this device, but yes the TLV320DAC3101 setting should work with the TLV320DAC3100 device. Let me know if it doesn't work and I'll loop in the apps engineer for this device to look into it further for you.

can you please double check for me that the two will provide the same dev environment and that there is no 3100 files that I need to install or copy to the codecs folder? I just want make sure I am developing in the right environment before I send my data to my FW engineer.

Gelmont,

There is actually a different GUI for the DAC3100. A different group inside TI supports this GUI, so I'm checking with them to see how customers can access it.
