TPA3116D2: Master and Slave mode

Hi all

Would you mind if we ask TPA3116D2?

Our customer would like to use TPA3116D2s with 1 Master and 2 Slave mode like as follows;
TPA3116D2(Master) --> TPA3116D2(Slave)
|-> TPA3116D2(Slave)
It is no problem, right?

Hello Matsumoto-san, Yes, this should be no problem. Please just make sure that you follow the pin & register setting outlined in section 7.3.1 Gain Setting and Master and Slave, of the datasheet, as you need to identify both the master as well as the slaves. This is also where you can control gain. Further, you can have multiple slave stereo units, as well as the datasheets typical 2.1 application, where the Sub is the slave. Just in case, please let us know one point.
How much number of slave units can the master connect to?
Of course, our customer will use a few(two or three) slave units.
