TLV320AIC3204: ADC Bypass Using Mixer Amplifiers

Part Number: TLV320AIC3204

Hi,

Could you please give me your advice whether MCLK, BCLK and WCLK can be halted or not if applying "ADC Bypass Using Mixer Amplifiers" which is mentioned on page 28 of TLV320AIC3204 data sheet ?
In addition, please tell me how to set this register configuration.

Best regards,
Kato

  • Hi, Kato-san,

The TLV320AIC3204 requires an external clock to be used as the source for the internal clocks of the device, in general, this clock is MCLK, so, for analog bypass application, the I²S clocks might be halted, but a MCLK would be required. Regarding the configuration for this operation mode, you can refer to the 'AIC3204 Reference guide (SLAA557) for more information about the device configuration for this mode.
