Hi,

I want you to ask whether there is protection funcition (such as short detection, current limit, over voltage etc) in this Q1 device.

I confirmed datasheet of TPA6211A-Q1, but it seems that there is no protection function in this device.

However, could you please confirm whether there is protection funcition in this Q1 device just in case ?

    Hello Machida-san,

    In fact, this device has short circuit protection and thermal protection. You can refer the short circuit protection to confirm this information.

    Thank you for your reply.
    I recognized that TPA6211A-Q1 have short protection from internal E2E info.

    However, according to this, shout protection is only for "short load" and "Short to GND", NOT have "short to battery", right ?

    And also, according to TPA2000D1-Q1, short protection function is described in datasheet, but short protection function is NOT described in datasheet of TPA6211A1-Q1.
    Do you know why short protection function is NOT described in datasheet of TPA6211A1-Q1 (This function is specific function, so I believe that this is described in features in general) ?

    Hello Machida-san,

    The device also has Auto-recovering short-circuit protection for short to battery (Vdd to GND). In fact, I have performed some tests to verify it.
    I'm not sure why amplifier's datasheet doesn't describe this function.
