Hi Support team,

We would like to know the total power consumption of the TLV320ADC3101 when the ADC, DAC and miniDSP are operating?

AVDD current = ? mA

IOVDD current = ? mA

We are not able to find the detail information in Datasheet.

Hi, Kelvin,

The general current consumption of AVDD and DVDD is mentioned in the Electrical Characteristics section of the datasheet, regarding IOVDD, in general the current in negligible. Can you please share more details about your device configuration?.

Hi Diego,
We found the current consumption in the datasheet as mentioned below

Stereo record AVDD = 4mA and DVDD =2.1mA . Is it correct ?

And the propose of this ADC is to convert the TAs5760 output signals and throught the resistor ladder to step down votlage, then to the TLV320ADC3101 analog input , then convert to I2S signal to our system. And the TLV320ADC3101 will acitve some EQ setting and some limiters adjust the frequency response to acheive our requirement.

We need this information to calcaute the design power comsumption. Please advise.

Hi, Kelvin,

Correct, that is the expected current data for Stereo recording application of the TLV320ADC3101. This current could change if the PLL is used in your system, adding additional 1.1mA to AVDD and 0.8mA to DVDD. Regarding IOVDD, you might consider an overall estimated current of 30µA.
