TAS5782MEVM: THD+N Issue

Hi,

I evaluated TAS5782MEVM in BTL configuration, then the common-mode output voltage was increased and the output waveform clipped only on the power supply rail side("OUT2A+" - "OUT2A-") when outputting 32W/ch continuously.
Could you please tell me why this symptom occurs ?

<Test Condition>
Configuration = BTL
PVDD = 22V
Load Impedance = 4Ω
Output Power = 32W
THD+N = 10%

Hello Kato-san! Andy can help you further with your question, but what gain and Fs are you operating under? If you reference Figure 30 or 31. THD+N vs Power – BTL, you can see that the device does begin to clip, depending on configuration. Thanks, Jeff

Thank you for your reply.

Our configuration("Stereo 2.2 W/T" and "Standard Processing 96kHz") is shown as below.
I believe that the output signal after the LC filter isn't clipping and this distortion affects the audio quality because the gain setting is default(26dB).

In addition, THD+N is the difference between the output channels if increasing the load current(in other words, the load impedance is changed to more lower).
