TPA3255: TPA3255DDVR Temperature issue

Hi,

I am using TPA3255DDVR Class D power amplifier and i place a heat sink device on it.

Queries:

1. When the board is power on, The temp of the TPA3255DDVR is gradually increasing upto >75°C with in 25 minutes(I measure on heat sink device).

I was unable to control the temp, please help me. and below is the schematic.

Please help me sir how to reduce it.

Hi Ashok,

Are you saying that the board is heating up when you are running the device in idle (no input signal)?

Dear Robert,

No, The Device (TPA3255) is heating up in ideal condition.

Is there is any control logic required to control it?

Hi Ashok,

Well if you are sending a continuous signal through the device and leaving it on for 25 minutes then that's perfectly normal. 75C is still well within the operating temperature range of the device.

No, there is no control logic that controls how much heat the amplifier produces.
