Difference between Compressed and non Compressed PCM

Hello!

I need to know the difference between Compressed and non Compressed PCM files.

  • Hi, Zain,

As far as I know, the non compressed PCM is a class of audio format, that stores the audio waveform "as is", without processing. Compressed PCM is not actually well defined, but can be seen as a common way to call any format where the processing of the audio data is done to reduce the file size. Maybe someone in the forum can give you a more accurate response :).
