PCM5142: crossover

Hi,

I understand that with the dsp tool, the crossover frequency can be configured. This chip is used in Allo's piano 2.1 DAC. They have mentioned that upto 200hz only crossover can be selected. Is it true? or this crossover point can be extended to use for 2way active speaker setup also?

Hi Shivaprashanth,

You can use PurePath Studio to create a crossover at any frequency. You should be able to use this for a 2 speaker setup. Though I would check to make sure that the Allo device does not implement a hardware filter on their sub outputs as well.
