TAS5782M: /SPK_MUTE Timing

Hi,

/SPK_MUTE Timing is mentioned on page 22 of TAS5782M data sheet, but what kind of issues will occur if this timing(< 20ns) for the rise and fall time is violated ?
Is my understanding correct that there is a concern that the shoot through current flows if /SPK_MUTE pin changes slowly ?

We state explicitly In the datasheet that the rise time and fall time for the /SPK_MUTE pin MUST be less than 20ns. We cannot guarantee their system performance if customers volatile this spec.

Take a look at the following e2e thread. The same knowledge can be applied to TAS5782M even though TAS5766M was discussed there.

I found that the /SPK_MUTE pin feature is mentioned on page 52 of TAS5782M data sheet as below.
So, I will contact you if getting additional questions from our customer.

Hi Kato,

That's right. Basically the /SPK_MUTE is a multi-purpose pin and that's why we need to define the rise time and fall time to determine its functionality.
