TPA6132A2: Low frequency noise

Part Number: TPA6132A2

Hi team,

Now the  customer is using TPA6132A2 for headphone applcation. They could hear a low frequency noise. If they touch the GND on the board with finger, the noise will disappear. Below is the schematic. Any suggestion or information you need? Thanks.

  • Hi Robin,

One of my colleagues will be responding soon with further information.

  • Hi Robin,

How are the output speakers connected? It is recommended to connect SGND to the headphone jack GND connection when possible.
What is the source of audio signal of TPA6132A2?
Are there different GNDs in your system? How are they all connected?
This could possibly be caused by a ground loop, so I would like to ensure that there is a good ground return path all the way from the speaker to the audio signal source.

  • Hi Ivan,

The SGND is conectes to headphone jack GND.
The source is two pairs of differential signals.
There are different GNDs, and they are connected using magnetic beads.
I will send you the schematic and layout by email, thanks.
