PCM2904: Enumeration Status

Dear fellow developers,

I am currently designing a system which includes the PCM2904. In order to optimize the power managemant subcircuit (and to stay USB compliant) I would need the enumeration status of the device. I am particulary interested in the assigned maximum current. The PCM2904 does have a 500mA descriptor, but if the system cannot meet the requirements - how will I find out? Or more precisely:

Is there any way to retrieve the enumeration status from the PCM2904?

Hi, Michael,

The only information available for the power consumption of the device is the maximum power from the configuration descriptor.

Dear Diego,

thank yor for your answer. That means, if USB enumeration fails, there is no way to retrieve that information from the PCM2904?

Correct, if the enumeration process of the device fails, the information from the device cannot be retrieved.
