PCM2704C: Codec format

Hi team,

My customer is asking us if PCM2704C complies with any audio codec standards, such as AC97. Looking at the datasheet, it only complies with S/PDIF for output. Is there any supporting standard?

Hi, Nobuhiko,

As you mention, the PCM2704C is compliant with S/PDIF interface only. AC97 standard is not supported by this device. PCM2706C is a similar device that features an I²S interface as the output from the USB audio input.
