Hi Sirs,

We have the same question as the previous thread:

Can we apply the same power up sequence for the AIC3254?

(1)Power up external power supply
(2)De-assert hardware reset
(3)Register configuration via I2C
(4)PLL powered Up -> MCLK input -> BCLK/WCLK output

Another question: What is the minimum delay between reset de-asserted and the first I2C command?

Hi, Wayne,

The sequence mentioned can be implemented for the TLV320AIC3254 without issues. The recommended device startup sequence is described in Chapter 3 of the Application Reference Guide of the 'AIC3254.

After de-asserting the external /RESET, the initialization of the internal registers takes about 1ms, during this initialization phase, no register-read or register-write operations should be done.

Hi, Wayne,

The same sequence can be used with the TLV320AIC3262, as with the 'AIC3254, the recommended startup sequence is described in the 'AIC3262 Application Reference Guide, Chapter 3.
