Retimer and Redriver Corresponding to Coaxial Cable Length of 1000m

Could you please suggest the retimer and redriver devices(DIR and DIT with S/PDIF standard) corresponding to the coaxial cable length of 1000m to me ?

I'm not sure that we have the right device to cover this sort of situation. Can you tell us a little more about your application?

Hi Tom-san,

Our customer application is the audio signal transmitting apparatus but the detailed information is not disclosed.
I am considering that I will suggest to use the optical cable instead of the coaxial cable.
Could you please give me your advice again ?

I believe it would be easier to use optical cable, I will chat with the audio guys and see what they might be able to suggest.

Hi Kato-san,
Since the distance referred to is 1000m, having a solution based on DIT/DIR/SRC may not be practical and perhaps considering wireless audio-streaming device using both S/PDIF (Sony/Philips Digital Interface) and I2S digital interfaces for audio may be the best approach.

When we try to cascade several DIX devices to achieve 1000m length, the signal will have distortions which will result in S/PDIF decoder not being able to decode the frames and hence using FM/AM modulation to transmit S/PDIF frames would be more practical.
