TPA6120A2: Input considerations?

Maybe I have missed it in the datasheet, but I am wondering about the input circuit for this IC. Is it necessary to feed it with op amps? The EVM seems to not have op amps and therefore must be direct driven. But the circuit in the datasheet has them.

    Hi Jo,

    Welcome to e2e.
    The input signal should be within the device specifications, it can be direct driven or driven through opamps.
    The Absolute Maximum Ratings and Electric Characteristics sections of the data sheet offer some required specs.
    What are you planning to connect at the input of TPA6120A2?

    The input will be what ever it needs to be. If it was directly fed, then it would be coming from the output of a 10k Ohm attenuation stepped switch.
