PCM2904: What is High-Performance Mode

Hi Team,

I'm trying to understand what high-performance mode is and why a customer would prefer this usage. I couldn't find anything in the datasheet about it other than how to set it up in the different modes.

What is high-performance mode and the benefits?

Using the device in High Performance mode allows the part to meet the maximum performance specs on the datasheet.

What specifically is improved in high-performance mode? The datasheet doesn't indicate performance differences between the modes.

Jordan,

This is not specified in the datasheet, basically, the typical SNR and THD+N values are obtained when the part is configured in High-performance mode. Otherwise, the performance of the device will be closer to the min SNR and max THD+N spec.
