TLV320AIC1110: Line input :: Cascade option

Part Number: TLV320AIC1110
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV320AIC3104

Hi

With reference to TLV320AIC1110 I have following questions.

1)- Datasheet shows TLV320AIC1110 has mic inputs, but i have a sinewave +2.0V having a frequency range of 4kHz. Is it possible to connect input directly to these Mic pins. ?

2)- Can we cascade TLV320AIC1110. It means the DAC output of one amplifer goes to input (ADC) of second amplifier.?

Any reference design is available?

Regards;

  • Hi, Raheel,

    The TLV320AIC1110 is one of out older devices, we have some parts with better performance and flexibility, why don't you take a look to our newer audio codecs like the TLV320AIC3104?. Regarding your questions, please refer to my comments below:

    • The 'AIC1110 is optimized for mic level input operation, it might be required to condition the line signal to meet the recommended levels from the D/S.
    • The amplitude of the output drivers of this device is closer to a line level, so conditioning of the signal will be required.
    • The reference design we have available is the TLV320AIC1110EVM-K.
