PCM1789: Bipolar Zero Error Drift

Part Number: PCM1789

Hello,

The PCM1789 spec lists bipolar zero error at ±1% of FS typical.  Any additional data available regarding drift over time or temp?  Wondering how realistic it is to calibrate that out and have good repeatability on driving to zero.

Thanks

Brian

  • Hi Brian,

Unfortunately I do not have any more data on the BZE error on that device. On thought I had is that if you on concerned about the offset error you could use a diff-amp buffer with reference to VCOM, which should share the same offset error as the output channel. This would require some extra circuitry though and a negative supply rail. In addition, a DC blocking capacitor may minimize the impact of the error.

Please let me know if you have any more questions,
    Thanks
