TLV320AIC3107: request schematic review

Part Number: TLV320AIC3107
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV320AIC3106

Hi,

One of my customer is willing to use TI's TLV320AIC3107.

schematic is attached as below.

one more questions > is there any register difference between TLV320AIC3106 and TLV320AIC3107 ?

----

thanks,

TS

  • At a glance, R41 should be identical to R42, if you want this differential input to be balanced (definitely a good practice).
  • TS,

The AIC3107 and AIC3106 are part of the same family and as thus the datasheets and registers are similar but they are definitely not the same.
is there a reason you ask?

Regarding the schematic. Dimitroios is right on with R41 and R42. If those are going to identical mics, and the customer wants a balanced stereo image, they should use the same resistor.

additionally, the unused analog inputs (Line1RP, Line1LP, Line2RP, Line2LP) should all be AC coupled to gnd via 0.47uf Capacitors. there are instances where unwanted noise can couple into these input pins. we always recommend this.

What they should never do, is connect HPCOM to GND, and HPLOUT and HPROUT should not be connected to GND Via 47uf capacitors. Is there a reason the customer wants to do this?

I've sent you a connection request, if you would provide more info/context to this schematic. understanding their use case is always helpful.

    best regards,
