Hello,

Our customer use the LM4819, have some questions about failure mode.

If the Vo1 and Vo2 pin short to GND, I think the LM4819 is damaged.

In that case, which damage mode occur short or open?

Does it occur fire or smoke?

Hi Naoki-san,

I have performed some tests with the EVM. It seems that the device has short-circuit protection between the outputs (Vo1 and Vo2 pins) and GND, besides between outputs (Vo1 and Vo2 pins) and Vdd.

Is the LM4819 may damaged depend on the package and ambient temperature? (even if the LM4819 has short-circuit protection)

Hi Naoki,

The LM4819 may be damaged if it works beyond the given specifications in the datasheet, even if the device has short-circuit protection.
